TROY Industries To Relocate To Tennessee
TROY Industries announced it will relocate its headquarters and manufacturing plant from West Springfield, Mass., to Clarksville, Tenn. The five-year, $7.2 million investment will begin this June.
The company, built by Steve Troy, Jr., is one of America’s largest suppliers of OEM small arms accessories, with a wide ranging and highly satisfied customer base of military and law enforcement personnel.
TROY projects it will offer 75 new jobs in the Montgomery County area.
“I appreciate TROY for choosing to relocate to Tennessee and am proud to partner with this world-renowned firearms manufacturer. When companies pick Tennessee to locate or expand their operations, it is a vote of confidence to our state’s business-friendly climate and skilled workforce. I thank TROY for this investment and the creation of new jobs for Tennesseans,” said Tennesse Gov. Bill Lee.
Regarding the transition from Massachusetts to Tennessee, Steve Troy said, “While TROY has enjoyed a very successful period of growth in Massachusetts, the changing climate for firearms manufacturers in the state determined the need for our relocation to Tennessee to ensure the continued success of the company. We’re excited to begin this new venture.”

NSSM Coming In August
About two-and-a-half months away, August is National Shooting Sports Month (NSSM). NSSF released some resources for dealers and range operators to begin planning participation in this upcoming annual event.
Among the resources added by NSSF include an e-book to assist with planning and marketing NSSM events.
Participation isn’t limited to dealers and ranges, the e-book also provides insights for industry manufacturers and organizations.
“With the growing number of new gun owners and interest in firearms, we urge all firearm retailers and shooting ranges to take part in National Shooting Sports Month this August,” said Zach Snow, NSSF director, member development. “Now is the time for our industry to put its best foot forward in showcasing how safe and enjoyable the shooting sports are and how easy it is to get involved. Start informing your customer base through e-newsletter communications and on your social media pages with teasers about the fun activities and promotions you’re planning. Sign on today by listing your business on the national calendar to receive a promotional package from NSSF while supplies last.”
Additionally, NSSM is a readymade opportunity to promote the +ONE Movement — an initiative for industry stakeholders to take someone out to the range or on a hunt for the first time.

Stryk Pay Offers Pro-Gun Credit Card Processing
Stryk Group USA — the Bozeman, Montana-based impact consulting company serving several leading hunting, fishing and firearms brands — has developed Stryk Pay to combat the rising threat of financial institutions cancelling their agreements with the firearms industry.
“First it was the Obama Administration’s onerous Operation Chokepoint that was thankfully nullified by the Trump administration,” said Ron Dan, director of sales, Stryk Pay. “Sadly, today it’s the Biden Administration — perhaps the most anti-gun administration in history — that has set the tone for financial institutions to simply refuse to do business with legal firearms businesses. They’re looking to accomplish this by not processing credit card transactions and not providing other essential services to our dealers and manufacturers.”
Key elements of Stryk Pay include:
• It is supported by a network of Second Amendment-friendly banks (redundancy in bank approval to ensure continuity of services.)
• PCI Compliance Level 1 gateway, the highest, most stringent, of the PCI security levels. Top tier security, established in an effort to protect the security of credit card data and cardholder data, in e-commerce transactions as well as in-store.
• Safeguards for fraud protection and chargebacks.
• Integration with current hardware and point-of-sales systems.
• Reliability and security, while still able to provide cost savings.
• Flexibility in implementation with current hardware, making a change as non-invasive as possible.
• From the initial application to implementation, Stryk Pay has the most tech-forward systems in place to ensure a streamlined process.
• Dedicated USA-based customer service.
“We are equally invested in preserving and supporting the Second Amendment as we are to offering cost savings and processing solutions, regardless of the nature of the transaction,” Dan said. “It’s that simple.”
