Lever-action rifles continue to attract a broad mix of customers, from traditional hunters and recreational shooters to younger buyers looking for something different than the typical semi-auto platform. With the introduction of the REVEL Tactical, Savage Arms is leaning into that trend by blending classic lever-gun appeal with modern features designed for today’s shooters.

A Familiar Platform, Reimagined

The new REVEL Tactical expands Savage’s growing REVEL lineup, joining the REVEL Classic and REVEL DLX models. While the rifle retains the smooth lever action consumers expect, it adds a collection of tactical-oriented upgrades that help it stand apart on the sales floor.

At the center of the package is an MDT Tactical stock with enhanced grip touchpoints, giving shooters added control and comfort. A one-piece Picatinny rail provides a ready-made optics mounting solution, while M-LOK slots on the fore-end support lights, bipods and other accessories.

For retailers, that accessory-ready design creates natural opportunities for add-on sales.

Built for Today’s Shooter

Savage equipped the REVEL Tactical with an 18-inch medium-profile barrel and a 1/2×28 threaded muzzle, allowing users to install suppressors or other compatible muzzle devices. Adjustable iron sights, including a hooded front sight, offer flexibility for shooters who prefer to run the rifle with or without optics.

The rifle also features a clip-on cheek riser that lets users adjust comb height for a more customized fit. Combined with the custom-designed pistol grip, the platform delivers ergonomics more commonly associated with modern sporting rifles than traditional lever guns.

Savage’s goal was to create a rifle that combines classic lever-action performance with the versatility demanded by today’s market.

Appeals to Multiple Customer Segments

One of the strongest selling points for dealers is the REVEL Tactical’s broad appeal. The rifle is suitable for recreational shooting, small-game hunting, range use and tactical-style training.

Its simple takedown design also makes transportation and maintenance easier, a feature many customers increasingly value.

Perhaps most importantly, the REVEL Tactical is chambered in three popular rimfire calibers: .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR. That gives retailers options for serving budget-conscious plinkers, varmint hunters and accuracy-focused shooters alike.

Why It Matters

The lever-action category continues to evolve, and products like the REVEL Tactical demonstrate how manufacturers are attracting new customers without abandoning the platform’s heritage. For dealers, that combination of tradition, customization and rimfire affordability could make the REVEL Tactical a strong addition to the rack and an effective conversation starter with a wide range of buyers.
