Federal Awarded Ammo Contracts From Canadian Government

Federal Ammunition was awarded contracts to supply several Canadian law enforcement organizations with handgun and rifle ammunition for training and duty purposes.

These agreements will supply the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Parks Canada (PC), Correctional Services Canada (CSC) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) agencies with up to 10 million rounds of 9mm training, 9mm duty handgun ammunition and .308 Win. rifle ammunition over a five-year timeframe.

“We, at Federal, provide the top-quality law enforcement and tactical products officers need to have full confidence in any situation, and that’s why we offer several different training and duty loads,” said Peter Gillette, Federal director of government and international sales. “This contract validates the high trust that international law enforcement agencies have in our highly reliable and innovative product, regarding dependability and terminal ballistics.”

Buck Knives Celebrates 20 Years In Idaho

Buck Knives Inc. recently recognized the milestone of the company’s relocation from San Diego, Calif., to Post Falls, Idaho, two decades ago. In 2005, the company opened its 128,000-sq. ft. state-of-the-art Post Falls facility, where it manufactures more than 200 knife models, houses a museum and operates a flagship store.

Buck hosted several events at the Post Falls headquarters and factory in honor of the occasion, starting with an all-employee lunch where employees who made the move 20 years ago were awarded a commemorative knife. Buck also hosted a private “20 years in Idaho” celebration event with business and civic leaders who helped make the relocation successful. The Buck Factory Store celebrated with the local community, raffling off prizes, selling commemorative knives and hosting local food and drink vendors.

“Idaho’s connection to common-sense rural values is a great fit for long-term business values,” stated CJ Buck, CEO of Buck Knives.

NSSF’s Gun Storage Check Week Is June 1–7

NSSF invites member companies and all who care about firearm safety to take part in Gun Storage Check Week, the June 1-7 national awareness campaign that’s a reminder to gun owners to check on their firearm storage practices and “Make Sure It’s Secure.”

Last year, more than 1,000 firearm industry companies promoted “Make Sure It’s Secure” during the two observances of Gun Storage Check Week: June 1–7 during National Safety Month and September 1–7 during National Suicide Prevention Month.

Visit GunStorageCheck.org and NSSF’s Promotional Toolkit for ads, social media shareables, PSAs and more, or use Gun Storage Check Week as an occasion to promote unique safety messages and offer sales on safety equipment and other products.

With increased support from industry this year, NSSF plans to reach millions more gun owners, reminding them to do their part to prevent unwanted access and help prevent accidents, suicides, thefts and misuse. Another important benefit of Gun Storage Check Week is that non-gun owners see that our industry is out front promoting responsible firearm ownership.

Daniel Defense Contributes $30K To American Suppressor Assoc.

The American Suppressor Association (ASA) announced a $30,000 contribution from Daniel Defense in support of ASA’s ongoing fight to protect and expand suppressor rights nationwide. As a Tier 3 sponsor, Daniel Defense continues its steadfast support of ASA’s mission to advocate for suppressor owners at both the state and federal levels.

“Defending the Second Amendment means supporting every aspect of responsible firearm ownership, and that includes expanding access to suppressors,” said Rod Reasen, CEO of Daniel Defense. “Suppressors are an important tool for safety and conservation, yet unnecessary restrictions still exist. The American Suppressor Association is leading the charge to change that, and we’re proud to support their ongoing efforts to remove barriers and secure suppressor rights for law-abiding Americans.”

“Daniel Defense’s continued support reinforces the strength of our movement to expand suppressor rights,” said Knox Williams, ASA executive director. “Their commitment helps fuel our advocacy. Whether it’s pushing for 50 state suppressor legalization, countering anti-suppressor propaganda, or ensuring that lawmakers and the public have the facts on suppressed shooting, with Daniel Defense in our corner, we’re able to fight harder and smarter for the rights of suppressor owners nationwide.”
