Ruger's New 10/22 Short-Barreled Rifles
Ruger’s new short‑barreled rifle lineup is here, and it includes two exciting 10/22 configurations. Both models include a reversible folding stock with adjustable length of pull, BX-Trigger, match bolt release and a 1/2″-28 threaded cold hammer-forged barrel. The first model features an 8-inch alloy steel barrel and a receiver with an integrated rear cleaning port for easy maintenance, while the second is a Takedown model equipped with a 10-inch barrel tensioned inside an aluminum alloy sleeve for enhanced rigidity and accuracy. These new SBR models deliver the feature-rich, proven performance of renowned Ruger platforms in compact, well-balanced designs that remain easy to handle.
Range USA Achieves Record Growth in 2025
Range USA reports a record-breaking year of growth in 2025. Since the opening of its first location in Cincinnati in 2012, Range USA has now expanded to 50 locations with the most recent opening in Chester, Virginia. Throughout the year, Range USA saw its strongest performance yet, while advancing its commitment to responsible gun ownership through safe, welcoming environments.
In 2025, Range USA welcomed over 1.4 million shooters on their ranges and over 10 million shoppers. The company also trained over 27,000 students and reached a significant milestone of 300 certified Range USA instructors. Despite a national 7.2% year-over-year decline in firearms sold, Range USA achieved a 5% increase in firearms sales from last year.
Additionally, Range USA brought in over 300,000 new shooters in the past year.

SAAMI Announces Acceptance of New Cartridges
The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute,® Inc., (SAAMI) has announced the acceptance of two new rifle cartridges for SAAMI standardization. SAAMI is the organization at the forefront of promoting firearm safety by creating standards that ensure safety, reliability and interchangeability of firearms, ammunition and components.
8.6 BLACKOUT — The 8.6 BLACKOUT (abbreviated name 8.6 BLK) was introduced by Q, LLC, with a 200-grain bullet traveling at a velocity of 2,200 fps and a Maximum Average Pressure of 62,000 psi.
25 Weatherby Rebated Precision Magnum — The 25 Weatherby Rebated Precision Magnum (abbreviated name 25 WBY RPM) was introduced by Weatherby with a 133-grain bullet traveling at a velocity of 3,000 fps and a Maximum Average Pressure of 65,000 psi.

CCI Announces New Blazer Brass Clean-Fire Suppressor Product Line
CCI Ammunition recently announced its all-new Blazer Brass Clean-Fire Suppressor, a new product line engineered to deliver optimal performance through suppressed handguns and carbines. The three subsonic loads feature Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) bullets, clean-burning powders, and lead-free primers to reduce fouling in suppressors. The new loads are 9mm Luger 147-grain, 40 S&W 180-grain, and 45 Auto 230-grain.
Clean-Fire loads feature fully enclosed Total Metal Jacket bullets and lead-free primers designed to reduce heavy-metal fouling. Shooters will also benefit from less residue in both the barrel and the suppressor for easier maintenance, along with loads that meet power factor requirements for competitive shooting.
