Arcus Hunting Names President

Arcus Hunting — owners and operators of brands such as Tink’s, Dead Down Wind, Ramcat, Trophy Taker and Rack One — appointed Corey Consuegra president as Phil Robinson transitions to chairman of the board.

“I am thrilled to serve such an incredible organization built on brands that lead the way in innovation, partnerships and listening to the consumer,” Consuegra stated. “Beyond our fast-growing brands, we are built on a foundation of incredible people and it is a privilege to serve as their president.”

Consuegra joined Arcus Hunting in 2018 to oversee marketing and product development. Previously, Consuegra spent 13 years with Bridgestone Golf Inc. where he served as head of marketing for the Americas.

C. Bennion

Tactical Solutions Hires Sales Manager

Tactical Solutions (TacSol) hired Cody Bennion to fill the role of national sales.

“I am thrilled to take on this new challenge at Tactical Solutions. TacSol offers the best rimfire products in the industry and I am excited to represent our brand in this new position,” Bennion shared.

He joined Tactical Solutions earlier this year with 19 years of sales experience from a variety of industries.

J. Krogh

Walther Arms Inc. Taps VP

Walther announced the hire of Jens Krogh as VP of marketing and product development. In this role, Krogh will lead all marketing and product development planning and execution.

“[Krogh is] passionate about brand building and product development. He’s data-driven and deliberate in gaining an understanding of the consumer and future market trends. He’s communicated a passion for the Walther brand and wants to help us do great things,” said Adam Blalock, CEO of Walther Arms Inc.

Krogh’s successful career as an executive leader in marketing, product development and sales stems from positions at Benelli, STI International, Adams Arms and Blaser USA.

K. Heuring

Everest Selects CMO

Kristi Heuring has joined Everest as chief marketing officer. She will lead all marketing efforts for the company’s marketplace including brand building, driving traffic and conversions for Everest storefronts and increase customer engagement and loyalty through their Caliber memberships.

Everest Founder and CEO Bill Voss stated, “A CMO of Kristi’s caliber, one with extensive outdoor industry experience, is hard to come by, and we are looking forward to her leadership as we build Everest.”

Heuring joins the Everest team with 26 years of experience from both the agency and manufacturer sides of the outdoor industry. She previously served in senior marketing roles at Aguila Ammunition and Aimpoint Inc.

Orchid Advisors Appoints VP

Orchid Advisors announced the appointment of Shaun Phelan as its VP of sales and marketing.

Orchid Advisors CEO Jon Rydberg commented, “In preparation for the launch [of new products], we need strong and consistent marketing to build our presence in the marketplace. Shaun’s strategic thinking around branding, messaging and product development will provide Orchid with a more consistent and increased presence that we need to grow our company.”

Phelan held various leadership roles at Smith & Wesson focused on mastering consumer demand patterns in the handgun and MSR segments. He was the director of the sales and marketing operations team that deployed analytical methods to drive retail firearm sales both in-store and through online, e-commerce channels.

USA Shooting Announces CEO

Longtime executive leader and former National Team Member Matt Suggs has been named USA Shooting’s new CEO.

Suggs has served on the board of directors since 2019 and emerged as a strategic leader by providing guidance to the organization.

USA Shooting Chairman Chad Whittenburg said, “Matt embodies the true sport that is USA Shooting. As a former 10-time National Team Member, an Army officer, a very successful businessman and team builder, Matt will lead USA Shooting, build our team and ensure we prepare our athletes to compete for every podium and Raise the Flag!”

He has experience across sales, marketing and operational functions from the U.S. Army, General Electric, Ariba and Oracle. For the past 10 years, Suggs served as EVP for Mediafly Inc.

M. Matsumoto

SIGHTRON Inc. Names President

SIGHTRON announced Yuji “Mack” Matsumoto has been named president of the company following Yoshinobu “Yoshi” Hamada’s retirement.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Mack Matsumoto’s caliber and experience to step up and lead SIGHTRON into the future,” said Eden Mitchell, SIGHTRON GM. “Mack is a proven leader with a business vision and the ability to bring people together. We look forward to having him navigate SIGHTRON through new products and innovations for years to come.”

Matsumoto comes to SIGHTRON from Kenko Tokina, where he held the position of CFO and president of Kenko Tokina USA Inc. He was previously the VP of THK Photo Products Inc.

BPI Outdoors Adds Manager

BPI Outdoors recently hired Damon Bungard for the position of senior marketing manager. He will be responsible for developing and deploying BPI’s marketing strategies along with website and social media management for its various brands, including Bergara, CVA, PowerBelt Bullets, Quake and DuraSight.

Bungard brings 20 years of professional and field experience to the position and has been in the outdoor industry for several years. Most recently, he was the brand and product manager for Orion Coolers, Orion Kennels and Jackson Kayak. Bungard is also a successful author, photographer and has numerous film appearances across broad print and media demographics.

Big Horn Armory Hires Sales, Service Assoc.

Big Horn Armory announced Luke Maslak recently joined the company to assist sales, marketing and customer service efforts. He will focus on sales to chain retailers and larger dealers as well as relationship building with individual store managers.

Maslak previously owned an internet marketing company for several years where he aided clients in internet optimization, web and graphic design.

Bear Archery Taps Marketing Manager

Bear Archery selected Alec Wyman to serve as a marketing manager for its portfolio of brands, including Bear Archery, Trophy Ridge, Fletcher Archery, Cajun Bowfishing, SIK Broadheads and Rocket Broadheads. His duties include supporting and implementing marketing strategies, managing sponsorship/endorsement and pro-staff relationships and coordinating trade events.

Wyman formerly served as the director of sales marketing for Hennessey Performance.
