Dealer Elevates “Take Your Politician To Work Day” To New Level

“Take your politician to work day” is a refrain that will sound familiar to those who have attended previous NSSF Congressional Fly-Ins. Larry Keane, NSSF SVP for government and public affairs and general counsel, will encourage attendees their engagement with elected officials shouldn’t end at the conclusion at the Fly-In — and an invitation to visit their facilities could go a long way to foster long-term relationships.

The team at Frontier Justice, which operates three storefronts in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska, has put this concept into practice in recent weeks — starting with being the only dealer representative at the most recent NSSF Fly-In, a virtual-only event May 25–26.

Two Marquee Events In Three Days

Since the Fly-In, Frontier Justice has held two marquee events in a short span at its Lee’s Summit, Mo., location.

June 10, U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R–MO), launched her campaign for the U.S. Senate to fill the open seat that will be vacated in 2022 following Sen. Roy Blunt’s retirement. She announced her candidacy onsite at Frontier Justice.

“I love the motto of Frontier Justice, ‘Faith, Family and Freedom’ — those are the traits that made America great,” she said. “They’re the traits we believe here in the heartland, and they’re what we have to fight and defend in Washington.”

Brown had the honor of introducing the Congresswoman to the crowd prior to her announcement.

“We’re in a very political industry, and you have to be involved. If you’re not involved, you’re going to be a victim of somebody else making decisions that affect your business.”

“Rep. Hartzler’s a huge Second Amendment supporter, and we were honored to host her at our facility,” Brown shared.

Two days later, June 12, Frontier Justice held another high-profile event: Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed the Second Amendment Preservation Act (HB 85) — a law which prohibits the enforcement of federal guns laws by local L.E. agencies in Missouri.

Addressing supporters at Frontier Justice during the signing ceremony, the Governor said: “It is our time to protect the Second Amendment. This is exactly what this bill does and it’s time to get this thing signed and get it into law.”

“We were really excited to help Missourians against federal overreach on our Constitutional and Second Amendment rights, we participated a lot in that effort,” Brown shared.

The Need For Political Engagement

Brown stressed the importance of getting involved in local and state politics.

“I would encourage other dealers to the same — we’re in a very political industry, and you have to be involved. If you’re not involved, you’re going to be a victim of somebody else making decisions that affect your business,” he closed.

Frontier Justice has experienced rapid growth over the past few years. Lee’s Summit was its first location, which opened Jan. 2015. In 2017, Frontier Justice expanded to Kansas City, while its third location opened in Omaha, Neb., in 2020, following its merger with the Omaha Gun Club. According to the Epoch Times, Frontier Justice has plans to add another location in Missouri in O’Fallon, just outside of St. Louis.
