GAT Marketing Supports Afghan Refugees

GAT Marketing, a full-service agency that was created for the firearms community by firearms professionals, has partnered with Task Force ARGO and Flanders Fields to assist in bringing an end to the Afghanistan refugee crisis.

This campaign was launched with the story of two sisters who executed missions alongside U.S. forces on female engagement teams. They fled Afghanistan with a single pair of shoes, which they took turns wearing on their way out of the country.

GAT Marketing shared two ways to help this effort: posting a picture of your feet with the #ShowMeYourFeet hashtag and go barefoot for a day, or post the receipt of a donation.

“GAT Marketing is honored to donate to such an amazing and noble cause. Our support goes out to those that still remain in Afghanistan to this day. Our participation with Flanders Fields and Task Force ARGO is in the hope of spreading awareness of the many brave people who are still in harm’s way. We’re proud to join in the work on their swift and safe movement away from the danger in Afghanistan,” said GAT Marketing CEO Charles Anderson.

GAT Marketing is prepared to match $5,000 in donations made this month to the #ShowMeYourFeet campaign.

Flanders Fields is a 501(c)(3) made up of Army and Marine veterans on a mission to help other veterans in any way possible. On August 15, 2021, this mission was extended to Afghans who served the United States military and their families. Contact give@flandersfields.org for further information.

Task Force ARGO is a group of private citizens working to evacuate Americans and Afghan partners stranded in Afghanistan.

NSSF Partners With Celerant To Support Project ChildSafe

NSSF and Celerant Technology have announced a new partnership supporting Project ChildSafe and firearm safety.

Celerant, a point-of-sale and eCommerce software provider, has pre-loaded into its latest software a checkout option allowing customers to either round up to the nearest dollar or to choose a specific denomination to donate in support of Project ChildSafe. Retailers simply have to turn on the donation software option, in their point-of-sale and/or eCommerce, to begin their support of this firearm safety education program.

“The benefit of our partnership is we can work even closer with an industry we respect and support,” said Michele Salerno, director of marketing, assistant VP of Celerant Technology Corp. “And it provides those who care about gun safety an opportunity to give back and support safety education efforts at the community level, while making it simple for the retailers to facilitate.”

Developed by NSSF, Project ChildSafe is dedicated to promoting responsible firearm handling and secure storage by distributing safety education messages and free firearm safety kits in all 50 states and the U.S. territories.

“This partnership will allow the industry to support our ongoing safety efforts by offering their customers an easy-to-use, point-of-sale donation option at no cost to the business,” says Joe Bartozzi, Chairman of Project ChildSafe Foundation and President & CEO of NSSF. “Firearm safety is a bedrock of our industry and the gun-owning community, and we are grateful to Celerant and all our donors for their commitment to reducing firearm accidents, thefts and misuse.”
