RTG, Orchid Advisors Partner With Point Of Impact

Retail Technology Group (RTG), a provider of POS and range management software, and sister company Orchid Advisors have partnered with the range development consulting firm, Point of Impact, to provide an extensive end-to-end business solution for firearm retail and range operators.

“Industry experts have forecast the growth rate in the shooting range market to be over 8 percent per year for the next five years,” said Jon Rydberg, CEO of RTG and Orchid Advisors. “Such growth creates new demand for software-driven solutions and a deep expertise in retail and range business management.”

The partnership provides firearm retailers and shooting range owners with the first complete solution encompassing
retail and range business management, inventory planning, technology and firearms compliance. The combined service and technology offering is structured to assist investors who seek to open a new retail or range business, or to existing business owners seeking growth in the shooting sports sector.

“Through this partnership, our companies will give current and future clients an opportunity to innovate their shooting sports business to achieve greater revenues and enhanced compliance,” said Hank Yacek, Point of Impact partner. “We see this partnership as a game changer and look forward to the opportunity to elevate the firearms industry to new levels of excellence.”

RTG, Orchid Advisors and Point of Impact showcased this new service and software offering at SHOT Show 2019.

Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit For M&P M2.0 – Red

Apex Announces Demo Trigger Kits For Ranges

Apex Tactical Specialties announces a new program — designed specifically for stocking dealers with shooting ranges — to provide demo samples of popular Apex products for use in range rental guns.

“Our data shows when customers get the opportunity to directly compare our trigger against a stock trigger, the customer moves quickly to the point of a purchase decision, not just for the Apex trigger but in many cases the firearm itself. This means dealers taking advantage of this new program can increase both the number of sales and the total amount of an individual sale,” explained Scott Folk, COO and co-owner of Apex Tactical Specialties.

The Apex product line includes trigger kits for the most popular firearms carried by dealers, including kits for most GLOCKs, the Smith & Wesson M&P and M&P M2.0; S&W Shield, Shield 45 and Shield 2.0; SIG SAUER P320; FN 509 and FNS series; Ruger Mark IV and Mark IV 22/45 and Walther PPQ.

To participate in the Apex Range Program, a dealer must have a verified shooting range with rental firearms available. Stocking dealer ranges will be eligible for one kit per $1,200 in Apex product invoiced, cumulative within a calendar year. Available demo kits are limited to a maximum of five per calendar year. Dealers can order only one of each demo SKU per year.

Range owners interested in the new program can contact Apex at dealer@nullapextactical.com or (623) 322-0200 for complete details and a list of available products.

Ed Brown Updates Dealer Program

Ed Brown Products has updated its dealer program, recently announcing a list of benefits available to dealers. Some of these include: the company’s best discount on firearms and parts offered, priority processing of orders (when available), access to the “Custom 1911 Build” webpage to configure a custom 1911 (excludes the EVO series), a range gun program, eligibility for special offers and deals and more. Further, dealers will have 24/7 access to live inventory, dealer pricing and order information at www.edbrown.com.

“Our new dealer program — like all of the new programs at Ed Brown — is just improvements on existing policies on how we do business,” said John May, Ed Brown sales and marketing director. “If you haven’t checked out Ed Brown in a while, you’d better look again!”

There are minimum buy-ins for both Full-Line Authorized and Parts-Only Dealers, with no minimum orders required after qualifying orders. Dealers have the option to join the program at a lesser discount level, and grow into an Authorized Dealer discount level. Orders accumulate throughout the calendar year, and if the combined total exceeds the threshold level the account will convert to Authorized.
