Orchid Law PLLC announces its launch as a law firm targeting the legal needs of today’s firearm business owners.
“FFL business owners and operators have an increasing need for industry-specific attorneys who can provide services efficiently and with less overhead,” said Philip Milks, lead attorney for Orchid Law. “The firm’s structure streamlines the delivery of legal services, offering a simple method for retention and at competitive rates. And, unique to our firm is the ability to deploy attorneys who have both extensive FFL/SOT legal experience and a solid understanding of the operations and technological challenges of today’s firearm business owners.”
Orchid Law launches with a focus exclusively on the shooting sports industry, and offers services to its manufacturers, distributors, retailers, importers, exporters and e-commerce entities. Its attorney-client privileged legal engagements include:
Licensing (FFL, SOT, import/export);
ATF compliance and inspections;
GCA, NFA and Arms Export Control Act (AECA);
State and local firearm laws;
Firearm classifications (including NFA)
Commercial/transactional matters, including e-commerce;
Corporate compliance and due diligence.
“We know the industry’s supply chain is evolving and requires a broader range of legal knowledge including matters related to e-commerce and automated electronic firearm classifications related to state, import and export regulations. Having expertise in FFL matters alone is no longer enough,” Milks said.
Zanders Introduces Operations, Compliance Aid
Zanders Sporting Goods, a distributor located in Sparta, Ill., announced a new benefit for firearm retailers. This new program is specially designed to help firearm retailers create operational efficiencies and improve compliance.
Developed in association with the NASGW and Orchid Advisors, this program provides retailers with discounted access to the tools they use every day. The following four components are specifically designed to improve retail operations for Zanders’ customers:
Eliminate slow retail transactions with a modern e4473 (kiosk and eSignature);
Eliminate ATF violations with a new, ATF-compliant eBound Book;
Easily train retail staff with over 100 online video tutorials;
Comply with state firearm laws by accessing up-to-date state regulations.
“We’re very excited to be able to offer this great new benefit to our customers,” said Stefanie Zanders, Zanders VP and COO and NASGW vice chair. “We believe this program will help them improve retail operations with increased efficiency, compliance and enhanced training.”
Over the coming months, Zanders’ customers will receive more information about these benefits and a link to register with a 10 percent discount. They will also receive a free 30-minute legal consultation and can access all prior retail articles.
Zanders encourages its customers to contact their sales representative for more information.
Celerant Integrates With Kinsey’s
Celerant’s retail management solution recently integrated with Kinsey’s, a leading provider of archery and outdoor sporting goods. Through this integration, retailers have direct access to Kinsey’s retail products and distribution services to streamline their inventory supply chain and increase sales, both in-store and online. The integration is available on Celerant’s two retail solutions — Stratus Enterprise for larger dealers, and Cumulus Retail for smaller stores.
This integration has resulted in the following benefits for dealers:
Access to Kinsey’s product catalog from within Celerant’s POS software;
Ability to import the products to sell in-store without stocking inventory or fulfilling orders;
Automate order replenishment based on pre-set min/max levels;
Display Kinsey’s available inventory, in real-time, on Celerant e-commerce website;
Offer a selection of products online, and allow Kinsey’s to drop-ship orders directly to customers.
Dealers can browse Kinsey’s product catalogs, consisting of more than 500 brands and 15,000 products — focused heavily on archery — as well as hunting. Dealers can display these products (including product descriptions, images and on-hand stock levels) online in real-time, allowing archery/outdoor retailers to offer an “endless aisle” of products.
