Kel-Tec Announces New Range Program, Expands L.E. Initiative

Kel-Tec announces its first-ever range and stocking dealer program in a strategic alliance with Shot Spot, a Carrollton, Ga.-based wholesale distributor. The new venture is being offered to ranges nationwide and is designed to allow consumers to “try before you buy.”

“One of the many benefits of a ‘test drive’ program is the consumer can shoot a variety of firearms, then he or she can immediately purchase the one best suited to them,” said Derek Kellgren, Kel-Tec director of sales and marketing. “This allows consumers to become safer and more familiar with specific platforms before making their purchase.”

The new program also provides access to hard-to-find items at range program pricing and stocking dealer ordering privileges. All Kel-Tec models qualify, but only in black.

“Ranges will be given the options of which firearms to offer as rentals, and which to carry as stocking inventory,” added Chase Chambers, Shot Spot national sales manager. “They also can renew their rental fleet on an annual basis, allowing them additional sales from the previous year’s fleet.”

In conjunction with the new range program announcement, Kel-Tec released a new and improved military and law enforcement program, Kel-Tec HALO.

The HALO acronym stands for Honoring Armed forces, Law enforcement and Other first responders. Active, veteran and retired law enforcement, military and EMS qualify, as well as honorably discharged veterans with DD-214.

“This is a program dedicated to the men and women who serve and protect our great country,” said Janice Worell, HALO program manager. “And that dedication now includes our courageous military personnel and first responders.”

Celerant Integrates With Davidson’s, Lipsey’s

Celerant Technology announced partnerships with both Davidson’s and Lipsey’s to provide additional services to the industry’s storefront dealers.

In its integration with Davidson’s, Celerant’s customers can import product catalogs, automate purchase orders and offer a wider variety of products online.

From within Celerant’s point of sale, firearm dealers can access and browse Davidson’s product catalog, import the products they want to sell (including product descriptions and images of Davidson’s exclusive products) and reorder inventory with automated purchase orders based on min/max levels. This ensures retailers will have the necessary inventory on-hand, while eliminating the need to manually enter products into the retail system.

In Celerant’s integration with Lipsey’s, dealers can import products, automatically reorder inventory, display inventory online and leverage Lipsey’s drop shipping services. From within the point-of-sale software, firearms dealers can access and browse Lipsey’s product catalog and import the products they want to sell in-store, eliminating the need to manually enter products into the retail system. Dealers can also reorder inventory with automated purchase orders based on predefined min/max levels, ensuring they have the right products and on-hand quantities throughout the year.

Through live, online “data feeds,” Lipsey’s current accessory stock levels are automatically reflected on Celerant’s e-commerce platforms, along with product data, images and descriptions. Therefore, dealers can then sell more products on their websites than they carry in-store. When an order is placed on a dealer’s website, Lipsey’s is automatically alerted and drop ships the order from their warehouse directly to the dealer’s customer along with a custom packing slip and shipping label.
