Focus On Fashion And Function For Female Shooters

Recognizing that women are the fastest-growing segment of the shooting sports, Under Armour (UA) is expanding its women’s hunting clothing line and adding scent-blocking technology.
Your female customers will love the Dead Calm Scent Control jacket and pant. Both are made of water- and windproof fleece that is designed to keep women odor-free and warm when the temperature is low. The Ayton Jacket and pant are also made for cold weather conditions with 300-weight performance fleece and thermal insulation.

The UA Stealth Jacket and Pant feature Under Armour’s ColdGear and ArmourStorm technologies to protect women in extreme cold conditions. Waterproof and breathable, with fully taped seams, this set features an adjustable hood and elastic waist with drawstring. The women’s line also includes various layering garments to keep women dry and comfortable in the field.
All of the clothing comes in Realtree and Mossy Oak camo. The DeadCalm line is also available in black.

Browning’s Multipurpose Knife

Another item to include in the female-friendly section of your store is Browning’s new line of Spur Neck knives developed by renowned knifemaker Russ Kommer.
“Like the spur from a rooster pheasant, these knives are sharp and curved, and make for an excellent multipurpose knife from caping to self-defense,” according to Browning.

What will capture women’s attention is that the knives are available in Mossy Oak Pink, in addition to black and Mossy Oak Break-Up. The 1 3/4-inch fixed-blade knife is made out of 440 stainless steel. Camouflage knives sport aluminum handles with Dura-Touch coating, which gives the knives a durable finish that is easy to hold when wet.

Rounding out the Spur Neck Knives package is a Kydex sheath that locks the knife securely in place. There is also a neck chain with a safety breakaway design to keep the knife handy at all times. These versatile knives would be a great addition to any woman’s arsenal of practical self-defense tools.
