In today’s nomadic society, carrying our daily essentials is paramount to our safety and success. Sure, our fathers carried spiffy briefcases, but how cool are they … not very, right? We want something that appeals to our inner warrior, something rugged and hands-free. Something that tells people, “Don’t mess with him!”
This year marks Maxpedition’s 15th anniversary. Tim Tang, who revolutionized and set the benchmark for a convenient way of carrying everyday gear, started this family run business. Using only top-grade materials, Maxpedition gear will last a lifetime.
Maxpedition Maximizes Space
Maxpedition has just the ticket for bungled belongings with their badazz Riftpoint CCW-enabled backpack with 15-liter capacity. It’s big enough for daily essentials such as a personal calendar, pens, notebooks, work papers, sunglasses, multi-tool, flashlight, spar clothing and most importantly, a CCW, yet small enough to easily stow away.
There are more than enough pockets for “stuff” along with a designated pocket with pouch for a pistol. The Riftpoint allows carry as a standard backpack or snazzy shoulder bag — the choice is yours (although shoulder carry gives the advantage of a quick-draw for your CCW should the need arise).
The Maxpedition Riftpoint features dual nylon fabric construction consisting of 500D Hex Ripstop and 1000D plain weave along with sturdy YKK zippers sporting positive grip-pulls for worry-free function and performance. Backpack straps are reinforced for uncanny strength and the CCW compartment has a security lockout strip for added safe storage.
The laser cut ATLAS Attachment Lattice System made from 840D Nylon-TPU composite allows convenient lashing of gear. Other features include nylon pull loops, custom Shapeshift webbing and bi-level high-grade 3D airmesh backings.
A custom molded fleece-lined semi-rigid EVA pocket is perfect for more “fragile” gear such as spare glasses or sunglasses. Lightweight, anti-break Duraflex Xlite buckles are used throughout, along with fray-resistant Gossamer mesh. The gray scale interior makes belongings more visible and the Teflon fabric protector is used to resist grime and stains.
Maxpedition offers a slew of other bags, backpacks and other carry gear including the Riftblade (30L capacity) and Riftcore (23L capacity) for bigger demands like overnight bags or gear. They’re available in gray, black or tan colors.
MSRP for the Riftpoint CCW backpack is $178.99.
