A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) hosted 19 female law enforcement officers for the seventh annual “Back the Women in Blue” event presented by GLOCK, with ammunition sponsored by Federal Premium. “Partner With A Payer” Video Highlights Collaboration With Archery Manufacturers & Wildlife Agencies
NSSF, in partnership with TenPoint Archery, Archery Trade Association (ATA), the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), has released another film in the “Partner with a Payer” series — a collection of videos highlighting the importance of wildlife conservation and management. The latest video, “Conservation Success at the Crossroads of Collaboration,” highlights the work being done to continue providing public access to target ranges, hunting opportunities and other outdoor experiences within the U.S.
Representatives from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Archery Trade Association and USFWS came together to tour the TenPoint Archery Facility, where they learned what it takes to generate the excise tax revenues supporting wildlife populations across the country. Throughout the tour, state and federal agency staff discussed specific projects and key instances where funds provided opportunities for the public to hunt, target shoot and enjoy the diverse wildlife in the United States.
This project was funded by the Multistate Conservation Grant Program. The latest video and others in the series were produced by Shine United LLC / Kingdom Filmworks.

NWTF Partners With NSSF & Project ChildSafe
NSSF and the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) announced a cooperative effort to promote firearm safety and secure firearm storage — via NSSF’s Project ChildSafe program — to NWTF members and their families.
“Our two organizations have a shared mission to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports, and that starts with ensuring everyone who goes into the field comes home safely,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF president and CEO. “At the same time, it also means taking steps to ensure firearms are securely stored when they’re not in use to prevent accidents, thefts or any kind of misuse.”
“We take safety very seriously, especially with our new and young hunters,” said Mandy Harling, NWTF director of hunting heritage programs. “Safe handling and use of firearms at home, at the range, in the field and in transit between them all is central to the safe enjoyment of hunting. The resources and tools Project ChildSafe has developed will be a great addition to the safety resource we provide for our members.”
The partnership involves the sharing of online tools, including all the resources available in Project ChildSafe’s “HuntSAFE” initiative that NWTF has added to its website in time for many states with fall turkey hunting seasons. NWTF will also feature firearm safety messaging in regular communications, events and online promotion, including a newly released episode of the Turkey Call podcast, featuring NSSF’s Bartozzi. NSSF and Project ChildSafe will continue to freely provide helpful educational resources on firearm safety for NWTF members, including safety fact sheets, infographics and other tools.

NDA Partners With Outdoor Industry Communication Council
The National Deer Association (NDA) announced a partnership with the Outdoor Industry Communication Council (OICC) on its latest conservation education campaign. This OICC Initiative will produce and release content every month, informing hunters, shooters, anglers and outdoorsmen about the U.S. conservation funding model.
NDA is thrilled to share OICC’s latest illuminating piece, “Funding American Conservation, One Shotgun and Box of Ammo at a Time.”
“This article explains how every single hunter and shooter directly contributes to U.S. conservation efforts,” said Nick Pinizzotto, NDA president and CEO. “We’re proud to support a campaign that aligns so well with our values of conservation education, and we look forward to sharing the next release.”
“Funding American Conservation, One Shotgun and Box of Ammo at a Time” breaks down the how and why of the excise tax in the outdoor industry. This article is a resource for those who are interested in learning how taxes on hunting and firearm-related purchases go towards conservationist efforts like improving habitats, access, and shooting ranges.
