Davidson’s Inc. Owner Donates $25,000 To Protect Liberty PAC

The NSSF’s Protect Liberty Political Action Committee (Protect Liberty PAC) received a significant contribution from Davidson’s Inc. Owner Bryan Tucker that will be utilized to support the election of candidates who are dedicated to preserving and protecting liberty, freedom and the constitutional rights of all Americans, especially our Second Amendment rights. Tucker’s generous personal contribution of $25,000 matches previous $25,000 donations from Lipsey’s and the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW). These donations will boost Protect Liberty PAC’s efforts ahead of the November 2024 election to ensure the election of candidates who will fight to protect our Constitutional rights — especially the Second Amendment which is under attack by the Biden Administration — and put a stop to the far left’s “woke” political agenda that threatens our liberties.

“It’s easy to imagine what could happen to our industry and our livelihoods if certain elected officials were left unchecked to trample on the Second Amendment and crush the very industry that provides for its exercise by law-abiding Americans. As the owner of Davidson’s Inc., I am happy to match the generous contributions of Lipsey’s Owner and Chairwoman Laurie Aronson and the NASGW to Protect Liberty PAC, and I encourage my fellow industry members and individual gun owners to do the same at this critical time,” stated Bryan Tucker.

Protect Liberty PAC is a federally registered “super PAC” founded in 2023 by NSSF.  Protect Liberty PAC is an independent-expenditure-only political committee and can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions from companies in or outside of the industry, so long as they do not have federal contracts. Protect Liberty PAC will expressly advocate for the election or defeat of specific candidates and that advocacy will be completely independent of any candidate or political party.

SCTP Sporting Clays & Five-Stand Event Registration Now Open

The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) through its Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) is again partnering with the Kids & Clays Foundation to host the ninth annual registered two-day sporting clay charity event at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio. This year will again include a two-day Five-Stand competition. Proceeds from both events benefit SSSF’s scholarship program as well as participating Ronald McDonald House Charities Chapters through the Kids & Clays Foundation.

The registered sporting clays event will be held Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20 during SSSF’s Scholastic Clay Target Program & Scholastic Action Shooting Program National Championships. Due to the high demand for the registered sporting clay event, squads has been increased from four-person to five-person. The top four scores from each squad will be tallied for team totals. The registered five-stand event will be held on Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18. Both events are open to parents and coaches of athletes attending the SCTP and SASP, the athletes themselves and the general public.

“We’re not only happy to partner with Kids & Clays on the sporting clays event but are thrilled to be able to again offer a second event allowing for more fun and competition,” said Rick Leach, president of the SSSF. “These events will make for a great ending to what is again shaping up as record-setting National Championships at Cardinal.”

Register for the event(s) at scorechaser.com and select “SCTP Registered Sporting Clays event” or “SCTP Registered Five-Stand event.” Registrants for both events will be entered in drawings for a large prize package of firearms as well as outdoor and shooting gear all worth more than $10,000 total.
